Cornus sericea Red Osier Dogwood

AKA Swida sericea 

 

Flat topped panicles of small white flowers followed by white berries in the fall. Dark red branches are attractive in the winter. This vigorious shrub tolerates many soil and light conditions and may sucker freely making it excellent for naturalization. It's fibrous root system can aid in control of soil erosion. Native to Ontario and larval host for several species of butterflies and moths. Berries are enjoyed by many birds and small mammals.

We deliver to your address in Toronto, Eastern Oakville or Mississauga on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. In the yellow area ( West Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton), we will deliver, on Mondays. We have a $75 minimum order - otherwise it doesn't make sense to drive to you. Note the dates in the banner above!


The purple areas on the map are further from our home base, so we can only come to you if you have a larger $250 order. If you are in the purple zones, please give us a call to discuss your delivery.
