Returns

When you purchase from Plants in the City, we want you to be fully satisfied with the product and service you receive.


However, we want you to be aware that in purchasing a perennial you are buying a living plant that will be in the process of growing and changing. The plant you receive will need to be nurtured in your garden in order for it to bloom and grow to resemble the picture on the website. Sometimes a whole growth season will be required for a plant to reach maturity in your care.

How to get a refund


So with all that in mind, we have a 10 day return policy. This is not an exchange policy and will only apply in the following circumstances:


If you receive from us a plant which in your estimation is not in good health or does not match the description of what you ordered we would ask you to contact us immediately at info@plantsinthecity.ca . In your email please detail the problem with your plant and enclose a photo of the plant in question. Our staff will be in touch with you within 24 hours to address your complaint and refund your money if applicable.


Please note that no return requests will be considered for plants purchased in error.


Under no circumstances will a request for refund be considered after the 10 day return period.


Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.


Shipping costs are non-refundable.

The Process

-- Send us an email and you will receive an email response from us.

-- If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5 days.

-- If you have been waiting for a refund please contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

-- Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

-- If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at info@plantsinthecity.ca

Restocking Fee

All orders which are cancelled are subject to a 5% restocking fee. Orders placed for delivery outside of the delivery zone will be automatically cancelled and subject to the restocking fee. Should a purchaser wish to cancel their order, they will need to contact Plants in the City to arrange cancellation. It is not possible to cancel any order which has already been placed with our suppliers All cancellations would be subject to a 5% restocking fee.
